I first met Geoff when he joined the IT organization at Astra Charnwood. We had convinced the Chemistry group to take on a UNIX expert which we would pay for. They were not an easy group to work with.
Geoff was the successful candidate, even though he supported Wolves, 🙂. He was a great choice and brought a level of stability, both to the UNIX computers and to the relationship with the customers.
After the Astra/Zeneca merger our paths crossed a few times, usually when I needed some independent guidance around UNIX issues and we always took the chance to rib each other about Wolves and Villa 😊.
Geoff was just a real good guy. I was so saddened by his sudden death and my heart goes out to his family and close friends. I will always remember him.
